Compensation and Benefits Salary: $45,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year, depending on experience and location.

Purpose of the Role The purpose of the Sales and Marketing Coordinator is to assist in coordinating inquiries, tours, and admissions to ensure resident and family satisfaction.

Essential Functions – Job Duties

Identify and screen prospective residents in both the acute and community settings and respond to inquiries by potential residents, families, or placement agencies.

Follow up on all referrals and inquiries for prospective residents in a timely manner.

Coordinate internal and external sales processes consistent with the Cardinal Senior Living marketing plan.

Collaborate with the marketing team to identify improvements and develop solutions to address occupancy challenges.

Schedule and handle all tours; meet with potential residents and their families to determine needs, provide solutions, overcome objections, and plan for move‑in.

Check available rooms prior to tours for presentability.

Work with the Director of Wellness and the Executive Director to ensure appropriateness of admissions.

Work with residents and families during the initial stage of the admission process to ensure efficiency of addressing their needs.

Maintain census development and census requirements as defined by budget; communicate with the Executive Director daily regarding census, referrals, and admissions.

Act as liaison between Cardinal Senior Living and family members during the pre‑admission and admission process; refer family members to the appropriate Department Manager. Provide move‑in and new resident information to relevant team members.

Ensure completion of admission paperwork with the responsible party, family member, power of attorney, or resident upon admission (within 24 hours) and that all forms are presented neatly and organized. Prepare, maintain, and update admissions forms packet and instruction booklet for staff use.

Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with hospital discharge personnel, Executive Directors, other healthcare centers, physicians, clinics, rehabilitation centers and home‑care agencies.

Determine details needed to re‑market rooms (e.g., walls patched and painted, carpet cleaned, curtains cleaned) and work with maintenance staff to ensure repairs finish in a timely manner.

Assists and completes other projects as assigned by the Executive Director and Operations Director.

Secondary Functions – Job Duties

Attend and participate in all meetings including marketing meetings, staff meetings, projects, special events, committees, and mandatory training as appropriate.

Maintain knowledge of regulations and Cardinal Senior Living standards to initiate and develop improved operations.

Establish and maintain relationships and contacts with various clubs, community organizations, and groups; give presentations as needed and act as representative of Cardinal Senior Living.

Assist in coordination of special events for Cardinal Senior Living and the local community.

Maintain professional affiliations and enhance professional growth and development, keeping abreast of latest trends.

Follow all applicable state regulations.

Education & Knowledge Requirements

Valid driver’s license.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 23 years of age.

Two years’ experience in a customer‑service oriented profession.

Two years of directly related experience working with admissions, marketing, and/or sales.

Essential Job‑Related Experience/Abilities

Ability to carry out admissions functions for a senior living environment.

Working knowledge of the referral process, reimbursement programs, personal care home regulations, admissions, and discharge procedures.

Excellent customer service and speaking/presentation skills.

Computer experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

Ability to interpret complex standards and regulations and write concise reports and histories.

Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, pull supplies, or furniture up to 50 pounds (may require assistance at times).

Ability to transport a resident in a wheelchair.

Preferred Job‑Related Experience/Abilities/Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience is preferred.

Basic understanding of medical conditions, medications, and functional status for the population related to skilled and rehabilitation services.
