What YOU will do The Supervisor Technical Library & Records shall be responsible to the Manager, Technical Training and Library/Records Department for all operations of the Technical Services section to include all functions relating to acquiring and distributing manuals, publications, and documents used by VT MAE personnel. With employees informally connecting with experts, mentors, and colleagues. You must ensure that training methods, content, software, systems, and equipment are appropriate and meaningful.
In This Role YOU will
Assist, supervise and direct all personnel assigned to the Technical Library & Records department, ensuring that all records are accounted for, audited, copied, and retained in VT MAE records.
Ensure that the original copies of aircraft records/work packages are assembled and delivered to the customer in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure that all assigned tasks authorized by the Manager, Technical Training and Library/Records Department are completed properly in a timely manner.
Assign tasks and ensure proper scanning of aircraft records is accurately accomplished and determine cost effective controls and ensure employees understand the assigned task.
Maintain the Technical Library with current information for ready availability as required. Monitor and ensure all documents are current to satisfy library requirements, i.e. Service Bulletins, AD Notes, FAR's, Type Certificate Data Sheets, etc.
Oversee and assist the Technical Library / Records Specialist in maintaining all satellite library locations and other library related duties as necessary.
Ensure complete and current distribution of technical manuals, publications and pertinent revisions throughout VT MAE.
Procure all manuals and technical documents requested by VT MAE personnel.
Procure from proper sources, all new manuals, publications, and other required information for VT MAE as requested by the various departments.
Responsible for publication and distribution of SQBN’s.
Responsible for reproduction and mailing to manual holders, revisions to VT MAE Repair Station & Quality Control Manual, VT MAE Policy and Procedure Manual, VT MAE Repair Station Training Manual and the VT MAE Quality System Manual.
Maintain and order all Quality Control forms and labels.
Train, assign and supervise all clerical activities of the Aircraft Records office.
Ensure all operations are performed within the guidelines set forth by all government agencies (i.e. FAA, EPA, OSHA, etc.), as well as the applicable operators’ procedures.
Ensure that all assigned personnel adhere to safe practices and keep a clean work area.
Continuously monitor work progress of assigned tasks in Library and Records. Keeping the Manager Technical Training and Library/Records Department appraised of the status at all times, particularly on jobs which are off schedule.
Ensure all assigned personnel maintains, distributes and processes all manuals, and technical documents to satisfy library requirements i.e. Service Bulletins, AD notes, FAR’s, Maintenance Manuals, Certificate Data Sheets, Customer Technical Manuals, and calibration, etc.
Create, route, and track Purchasing Request.
Perform such other work as delegated by the Manager Technical Training and Library/Records Department as required.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS Good working knowledge and ability in the following: the ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, by presenting ideas and giving instructions/guidance to subordinates, co‑workers, and outside agencies in a manner that instructions are carried out and requested information is obtained; ability to motivate and lead a staff or team of subordinates to obtain goals, higher productivity, and quality work; the ability to delegate and prioritize work effectively, creatively and persuasively. Job applicant must possess a high level of computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, Convergence LMS. Ability to put together training plans, presentations, talking papers, etc.

SUPERVISION Performs duty assignment at his or her discretion and is limited only by policies set by administrative or regulatory authority. Total end results determine the effectiveness of job performance.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT Essential responsibilities are performed in a climate‑controlled office but not limited to the office. What YOU Need
Associate degree or equivalent in training, education and/or experience.
2-3 years of experience in related field with 1-year supervisory experience.
