(JPD) is a professional services firm specializing in golf course architecture, landscape architecture, irrigation design, and program management/owner’s representative services. Job Title and Compensation Landscape Architecture Design Associate – 0–3 Years Experience
Base Pay: $60,000 – $75,000
Job Summary The Design Associate has overall responsibility for design assistance and plan document production for JPD. The Design Associate will develop an understanding of JPD’s design philosophy, competency in landscape architecture as it pertains to JPD projects, and awareness of health, safety, and welfare issues. The Design Associate is responsible for supporting the Senior Design Associate and other Design Associates in the day‑to‑day operation of the firm.
Primary Duties
Improve performance, qualifications, and knowledge of job duties every day.
Assist in the design development of JPD projects.
Produce all phases of the JPD’s plan documents to ensure professional plans are delivered on schedule and effectively communicate design intent to clients and contractors.
Produce plan documents on AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, etc. as required.
Coordinate with other design professionals such as architects, engineers, etc. in the development of plan documents.
Research and specify landscape products, vendors, and contractors as required by specific project needs.
Attend industry‑related association meetings and any gatherings that benefit professional development and the development of JPD’s network of contacts.
Provide synergy and a cohesive approach to execution and communication with team members to support overall business objectives.
Understand and obey the ASLA Code of Professional Ethics in all duties.

Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite programs, SketchUp, etc.
Practical knowledge of southern landscape plants, irrigation systems, and landscape materials and products.
Proven ability to effectively communicate with several types and levels of company staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally.
Ability to work simultaneously on many priorities.
Demonstrated ability to organize in a professional manner to achieve specified goals.
Demonstrated creative and persuasive problem‑solving skills.
