Building High-Performance Technology Teams Assignment Description

The Interior Design Project Manager works with the Workplace & Design team on a variety of daily and project related tasks in a fast paced environment. The role would include working on design and project management tasks, maintaining documentation, and managing furniture tickets.

Assignment Accountabilities

Workorder Tickets: Handles furniture and other miscellaneous tickets from submission to completion, ensuring compliance with Atlantic Union Bank design standards, building/ADA codes, and SLA requirements. Manages 10‑30 active tickets simultaneously, tracks progress, provides updates to requestors, coordinates with vendors, coaches teammates, gathers vendor information, schedules site visits, creates drawings for approval, assists with pricing and purchasing authority, and maintains documentation.

Project Management: Coordinates vendor site visits with physical security, meets vendors onsite, performs and documents furniture/artwork punch lists, updates Management and Move Coordinator, oversees installation of artwork and marketing posters in corporate and consumer branch locations, performs field surveys, requests purchase orders, tracks job costing, and maintains project documentation.

Artwork: Works with art framing vendors to re‑mat and re‑frame existing artwork, schedules handlers for pickup and installation according to AUB standards, and maintains project documentation.

Move Management: Assists Move Coordinator with move projects, documents floor plan changes, and supports accurate seating assignments during strategic moves.

Meetings: Attends meetings to schedule installations and coordinate vendors.

Travel: Travels daily, overnight, or consecutive days as required by project demands.

Reporting: Creates diagrams for monthly metrics reporting.

Additional tasks: Performs other tasks associated with the position as needed.

Creates installation presentations in Adobe Pro, CAD/Revit, and PowerPoint based on site visits, markups, design concepts, and furniture orders. Leads meetings with end users, business lines, and project teams to outline the project SOW and assign tasks for successful furniture and/or art installation. Issues drawings to departments for vendor installation, and maintains documentation in the appropriate folders.

Organizational Relationship This assignment reports to the Workplace & Design Manager.

Qualifications Education & Experience

2+ years of experience using AutoCAD/Revit.

Understanding of ticket work order systems (helpful).

Background in furniture, design, or project management.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro to create and edit documents.

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in AutoCAD/Revit software.

Ability to read floorplans.

Understanding of furniture and equipment repairs and warranty requirements.

Prior help‑desk experience helpful but not required.

Basic knowledge of ADA and building codes, with ability to research and understand them.

Clear communication skills—oral, written, in person—providing direction or seeking clarification, responding quickly to questions.

Follow established processes, policies, guidelines, and standards; complete administrative tasks correctly and on time; support organizational goals and values.

Works well independently and as part of a team.
