Civil Designer - Jacksonville, FL What You’ll Do
Perform engineering design including analysis, calculations, layout, and drafting of details
Prepare and produce construction plans and modify specifications
Develop engineering estimates and quantities for construction
Coordinate and communicate field construction activities with clients, contractors, and project team members
Collaborate with design teams across local and national offices
Support civil sitework, roads, utilities, drainage, and infrastructure projects from concept through construction administration
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Skills
Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Excel, Word, and ArcGIS (preferred)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts visually and in writing
Interest in diverse assignments and innovative design technologies
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and learn new skills
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the FE Exam prior to hire
Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a civil engineering environment (preferred)
Additional Information
Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
Valid driver's license required
Salary Range: $74,000 - $82,000
