Job Summary
Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre‑certification or authorization for hospital admissions and outpatient procedures to secure reimbursement.
Obtain and verify insurance information from patients, various hospital departments, and physician offices.
Obtain referrals, authorizations, or pre‑certification numbers as needed to ensure timely reimbursement and avoid revenue loss.
Requirements
Entry‑level knowledge, basic employment skills, high school diploma, GED equivalent, or high school certificate.
Prior insurance verification experience.
