Position Overview Compensation:

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $145,000 - $204,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. This is a Full Time position that includes health, dental, vision, 401K, and additional incentives.

Role Summary:

The Program Manager for Design-Build leads and oversees planning, execution, and delivery of projects using design-build methodology or similar project delivery models. The role requires deep expertise in alternative project delivery methods, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery. Experience with public and private projects, especially expansions, modifications, and enhancements, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Collaborate with executive leadership to align design-build program with company goals.

Define and implement strategic objectives for the design-build program.

Promote policy changes and streamline processes to enhance design-build or alternative delivery model efficiencies.

Project Oversight

Provide leadership and guidance in the development and execution of design-build or alternative delivery model projects from conceptual through completion.

Guide establishment of design criteria, procurement and contracting strategies, and construction administration for projects using design-build or alternative project delivery models.

Collaborate with regional design and execution teams to facilitate development, design, and delivery of projects using design-build or similar models.

Support conflict resolution and escalation to maintain momentum of projects.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

Build credibility and maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinate and build trust with regional engineering and operations teams.

Assist in developing client relations and confidence through demonstration of competency, skills, and knowledge.

Participate in client presentations and proposal development as required.

Facilitate identification of project risks and support mitigation strategies to ensure cost coverage and on-budget execution.

Facilitate value engineering and enhancement efforts with design teams.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Provide leadership in preparing and analyzing conceptual cost models, budgets, and contract pricing based on historic cost data or subcontractor input.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure adherence to legal, safety, and environmental standards.

Conduct quality reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in project/program management, with at least 5 years in design-build or alternative delivery methods.

Preferred: PMP or equivalent certification.

Strong knowledge of construction contracts, permitting processes, and regulatory compliance.

Strong understanding of estimating, scheduling, and design coordination.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Preferred certifications: DBIA Design-Build Professional, Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Certified Associate Contractor (CAC), Certified Construction Project Manager (CCPM).

Other Key Information

Workstyle: Hybrid – Average at least two days in office weekly.

Travel: Required to assess work sites for design optimization.
