ABOUT THE POSITION Design and produce engineering drawings for assigned projects. Prepare drawings and perform engineering calculations using AutoCAD and Inventor as instructed.
Key Deliverables
Provide accurate calculation of dimensions, weight limits, and required materials.
Develop detailed designs with CAD software.
Identify operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality.
Ensure final designs comply with regulations.
Prepare references to illustrate workflow.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
Perform basic/fundamental calculations for component selection.
Direct the efforts of draftsmen working on specific equipment or projects.
Execute detail and assembly drawing work and overall layout.
Write and release or supervise writing of specifications and bills of material.
Design new or special products and modifications of existing product line.
Complete assignments on time per engineering release date.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Two‑year Mechanical Drafting/Design Technology Degree preferred.
0–2 years experience in heavy equipment or structural design; AutoCAD 2‑D and Inventor 3‑D CAD experience (or similar).
Ability to operate drafting equipment and CAD/Inventor systems.
Strong written and oral communication skills; teamwork.
Comfortable working in industrial settings, quarry/pit, construction sites.
Ability to climb equipment for inspection.
