Our client, a global technology company in the paper and automation industry, is seeking an Automation Designer to join their team. As an Automation Designer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the controls design team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Electrical Designer Location: Appleton, WI Pay Range: $28.00/hr – $33.00/hr
What’s the Job?
Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to design and control machines for the paper industry, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer specifications.
Develop and prepare drawings, documentation, part records, bills of material, and instruction manuals.
Coordinate engineering and order-related issues with customers and internal teams to maintain schedules and budgets.
Perform automation/controls engineering design for reliability, safety, and cost, including risk assessments.
What’s Needed?
Associates Degree in Electromechanical Design or equivalent.
Experience with AutoCAD E or COMOS preferred.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally occasionally.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
