Senior Life Safety Systems (LSS) Designer
Base pay range: $30.76/hr - $48.38/hr
Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of complex Life Safety Systems packages in coordination with multidisciplinary engineers and design leads.
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create 3D BIM model space in coordination with architects and engineers.
Assist designers with layout for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, Security and Intrusion Detection Systems.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 10 years’ AutoCAD experience (preferably Revit experience).
Systems design experience with Fire Alarm Systems, Voice Evacuation, Gas Detection, VESDA, Access Control, CCTV.
3-5 years of systems design experience.
Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code.
Knowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems and manufacturer’s equipment.
NICET Level III certification or ability to obtain within one year.
