Waste EIT/Designer

As part of our Waste sector, you’ll help shape solid waste infrastructure and environmental stewardship, designing sustainable, cost‑effective systems that benefit communities and the environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, designs, contract documentation, and graphic presentations.
Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage.
Execute routine engineering assignments for waste clients using standard techniques and procedures.
Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations, and assist in cost estimates and specifications.
Complete projects with clear objectives and limited variables.
Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects.
Work independently on small projects or support senior engineers on larger projects.
Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed.
Perform other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD and experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation, Autodesk Infraworks, Civil 3D, or specialty platforms like Openflows.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, mechanical, chemical engineering, or a related field.
EIT status or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
Local candidates preferred.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Active participation in an employee‑owned culture is required.
