About The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for managing structured cabling projects from inception to completion while overseeing audiovisual and security scopes to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a combination of project management expertise and technical proficiency in structured cabling design.

Here's What You'll Do Project Management

Lead and manage low‑voltage design projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and to client satisfaction.

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and milestones; track progress throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project deliverables align with requirements.

Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.

Communicate regularly with stakeholders, provide status updates and address any concerns.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Structured Cabling Design

Understand client requirements and objectives and translate them into actionable plans.

Design structured cabling solutions in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.

Work with the CAD/Revit team to produce detailed design documentation, including system architecture, space planning, and construction drawings.

Collaborate with internal technology staff and vendors to integrate structured cabling systems with other building technologies.

Conduct field verification site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements related to structured cabling systems.

Ensure that all structured cabling installations adhere to quality standards and industry best practices.

Here's What You'll Need

High School Diploma and/or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

5 years of experience in designing or managing structured cabling projects required.

Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) preferred.

Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, industry standards (e.g., BICSI, NEC, EIA/TIA), and building codes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., ClickUp, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion.

Ability to multitask, manage resources efficiently, and adapt to evolving project requirements.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.

The salary range for this position to be filled in the New Jersey area is $103,000 to $140,000 annually. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
