Thin Film Metrology Technician
to join our team in Corvallis, OR. This is a hands‑on role supporting solution‑based thin‑film deposition, characterization, and daily research activities in a collaborative laboratory environment. You will join our diverse team of talent and contribute to developing new formulations that enable cutting‑edge optics and electronics applications.

Full-Time
What You’ll Do
Execute basic glass and silicon wafer substrate handling and cleaning
Perform thin‑film coating processes and assist with process optimization
Collect, analyze, and interpret film thickness and refractive index data using metrology tools such as ellipsometry
Prepare records, charts, and graphs of experimental and test results
Document procedures and results clearly to support development efforts
Required Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with standard lab practices, chemical handling, and safety procedures
Ability to follow experimental procedures and accurately document results
Strong technical aptitude and hands‑on skills
Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills
Experience with solution‑based thin‑film deposition techniques
Experience with thin‑film characterization tools such as spectroscopic ellipsometry
Additional Information
Standard weekday hours (generally 8 am–6 pm)
Minimal travel
Laboratory environment (~50 %)
