What You Will Be Doing
Manage DFCS capital development and deferred maintenance projects from inception to completion.
Prepare specifications, design documents, and construction contracts.
Develop project budgets and act as the DFCS representative after funding is secured.
Inspect work to ensure compliance with applicable laws, statutes, regulations, and procurement policies.
Coordinate with contractors,DOT/PF engineers, design and engineering consultants, and stakeholders across divisions.

The Working Environment You Can Expect This position will be filled in Anchorage at the Frontier Building in midtown Anchorage. The office is recently renovated, offers ample parking, and is within walking distance of several stores and restaurants.
A typical workday may involve monitoring construction contracts, managing bids, facilitating solicitations, responding to emails, traveling to local facilities, and meeting with contractors and stakeholders.
Telework is not typical, but flexibility and alternate schedules are supported.

Minimum Qualifications Competency‑Based: Prove through work history, volunteer experience, training, education, licenses, or certifications that you possess the required competencies.
Building and Construction:
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools for building construction.
Facilities:
Knowledge of facility equipment, operational characteristics, and safety equipment.
Project Management:
Knowledge of planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects, including cost and contractor performance oversight.
Safety Engineering:
Knowledge of identifying, controlling, and eliminating safety hazards in facility design and use.
Additional Required Information
Include your two most recent performance evaluations.
