Your Impact as an Assistant Design Project Manager You will help create thoughtful, consistent environments that reflect the heart of our 850+ hospitals and the pets and people we serve. Supporting the Design team, this role assists with the execution of projects through all phases, from concept and design development to construction administration, ensuring consistent implementation of design standards and that projects progress efficiently through the Real Estate and Construction pipeline.

This early-career role provides mentorship and hands‑on experience, building toward a full Design Project Manager position with increased ownership of design coordination, budget awareness, and project delivery over time. As a foundational role within the Real Estate & Design organization, it is intended to grow upon demonstrated performance and readiness.

Your Impact Will Include

Producing Design Packages: You'll aid in the production of design development packages for new hospital builds, renovations, and acquisitions.

Maintaining Documentation: You will update and maintain critical project documentation, including project trackers, material specifications, and budgets.

Coordinating with Partners: You'll coordinate with external partners, including architects, engineers, and vendors, to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Reviewing Designs: You will review design drawings and submittals to ensure they align with our established design standards.

Assisting with Procurement: You'll assist in the procurement and tracking of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for various projects.

Supporting Cross‑Functional Teams: You will support the Real Estate and Construction teams by providing design‑related information and resolving issues as they arise.

What You'll Bring To The Team

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.

1-3 years of experience in interior design, architecture, or project coordination, preferably in a corporate or multi‑unit environment.

Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to practice active listening and give/receive feedback.
