UI/UX Designer II

Role Overview Critical design position to drive the development and support of the IRIS 2.0 modernization project, a full replacement of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation’s case management system. Candidates will work on self‑directed project teams to review the legacy IRIS system, collaborate with users and business analysts to understand business requirements, design new and redesign existing workflows, wireframe and prototype ideas, and champion modern design principles.
Responsibilities • Review legacy system and gather user/business requirements. • Design new workflows and redesign existing ones for the modern system. • Wireframe and prototype design concepts. • Conduct usability, accessibility, workflow, and integration testing. • Guide issues related to user experience and provide guidance on design of beautiful and usable UI components using the material design library.
Requirements
Lead designer in a modernization or similar development project – 2+ years.
Experience creating wireframes/prototypes and iterating with cross‑functional stakeholders – 4+ years.
Experience creating personas and testing designs against them – 4+ years.
Knowledge of modern code implementations, US web design standards, and product strategy – 4+ years.
Nice to Have
Agile principles and processes experience – 2+ years.
Experience using MudBlazor material design library – 1+ year.
Training software developers and business analysts on UX principles – 2+ years.
