Our Ideal Candidate You are a structural designer skilled at 2D and 3D modeling and design. As a successful candidate, you will design concrete and steel structures as well as equipment foundations for industrial facilities.
A Day in the Life
Produce structural drawings for concrete and steel designs
Adhere to company procedures, engineering criteria, design standards, and applicable codes
Work within both 2D and 3D model environments
Interface regularly with other disciplines, vendors, and customers
Conduct field visits to client facilities to collect site data, support construction, and foster and maintain strong relationships with our clients.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Associates degree in Structural Engineering Technology. Post Secondary degree is preferred, or equivalent industry experience
10+ years of relevant experience in structural design, preferably in a consulting environment for chemical, or pulp and paper industries
Experience in the generation of 2D drawings, 3D modeling, Isometrics, and material take-offs
Experience using Advance Steel is an asset
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
Technical competence and strong attention to detail
