Position Overview We seek highly skilled professionals to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering and related offices. Duties involve translating complex requirements into rapid, reliable services and solutions across land, air, sea, and space.
Responsibilities
Experience and skills in communications, public relations, and/or journalism at OR > DoD and/or service component Headquarters levels.
Proficiency with social media and ability to develop and carry out social media communication strategies.
Ability to write and create presentations quickly, meet deadlines, and communicate with diverse audiences using multiple applications.
Ability to explain complex subject matter in plain English.
Ability to work effectively and independently on multiple projects.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or Communications is required; a graduate degree is preferred. At the discretion of the Government, four (4) years of specialized experience, including military experience, may substitute for specific educational requirements.
Seven (7) years’ experience in communications and public affairs.
Must have a Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance for all tasks and maintain eligibility for the life of the tenure on this contract.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a communications role for another technical organization.
