Job Details We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tool and Die Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this permanent full‑time position you will create and repair tools, dies, and specialized parts that drive our production lines. You will work in a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
Fabricate, repair, and maintain tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for use in the manufacturing process.
Operate and maintain a variety of machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and extrusion machines.
Use SolidWorks or equivalent software to design and modify tools and dies.
Perform MIG and TIG welding tasks as required.
Regularly inspect and test tools and dies, ensuring they meet set specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with the production team to identify and troubleshoot issues, improving efficiency and reducing downtime.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of tool and die maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting changes to enhance tool performance and durability.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Tool and Die Technician in the manufacturing industry.
Proficient in operating and maintaining fabrication machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and extrusion machines.
Expertise in MIG and TIG welding.
Proficient in using SolidWorks or equivalent software for tool and die design.
Strong understanding of tool and die theory and practical applications.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
A proven track record of maintaining high quality standards and meeting production targets.
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work for extended periods.
A valid certification or diploma in a relevant field is preferred.
