Inspired Closets Sales & Design Consultant We are looking for a talented and experienced salesperson with an eye for design to join our incredible team! The Inspired Closets Sales & Design Consultant is an expert in custom space design and has a vast knowledge of all of our storage and organization solutions and products sold within our portfolio. This role will pioneer our brand presence in Connecticut and parts of Rhode Island by selling our services to prospective new clients, working closely with them to develop the perfect storage solutions to meet their needs.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INSPIRED CLOSETS SALES AND DESIGN CONSULTANT As an Inspired Closets Sales and Design Consultant, you are the face of our company. You arrive ready to make connections with prospective customers. You share your extensive knowledge about our products and services and offer them valuable solutions, honest quotes, and assessments on how we can make a positive difference in their homes and businesses. You proactively seek new contacts from leads generated by our company or through your own networking to increase brand awareness and drive revenue. You meet sales goals and meticulously keep records.

Maintaining relationships with existing clients is also important. You regularly spend time with installation crews to ensure quality customer service. Clients give referrals because of your professional demeanor. Helping clients brings you great satisfaction and it is rewarding to see your hard work pay off in your paycheck.

This role includes a significant design component—but this is a true sales position. We are looking for a closer who uses design as their primary tool to solve client problems. Do you consider yourself a sales professional? If so, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Drive revenue by selling and designing high‑end, functional, and aesthetically appealing storage solutions specific to client needs.

Develop and manage accounts through prospecting and networking of leads.

Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities within new and existing accounts.

Take full ownership of the sales process from initial contact to contract and project handoff.

Provide innovative solutions and products to new and current clients.

Educate homeowners on the industry and maintain understanding of contracts and pricing structures.

Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and trade partners to drive repeat business and a robust referral network.

Hit weekly/monthly activity and sales goals and consistently track records in CRM software.

Qualifications

2–5 years of outside sales experience preferred; in‑home sales experience required.

Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to negotiate.

Knowledge and passion for following trends in custom storage solutions industry.

Excellent prospecting, presentation, and networking skills.

Experience in self‑sourcing leads through networking, referrals, and community engagement.

Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Adept at using technology to communicate and sell.

Ability to use natural closing skills to transform leads into sales.

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.

Willingness to undergo a criminal background check in compliance with regulations.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.

Experience in design is a plus; passion for design is a must.

Compensation $52,000 annual draw against commission. This role features a highly competitive,

uncapped commission structure

with
