Job Title:
UI / UX Designer
Location:
Austin, TX
Engagement Type:
10-week project | 3 days per week | Hybrid (in-office Tuesday–Thursday)
Start Date:
After the New Year – 01/05/2026
Pay Rate:
$65–$70 / hour
Benefits:
This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Project Overview This role supports the integration of a mobile field application with an enterprise ERP platform, enabling field technicians to complete all work within a single system. Responsibilities include creating maintenance notifications, generating work orders, and documenting completed tasks directly in the application.
The current interface does not adequately support daily, weekly, or monthly planning for technicians. The task management experience requires a redesign to better align with real-world field workflows and operational needs.
Goals The goal of this redesign is to deliver a flexible, real‑time task management experience that keeps field teams and remote operations aligned. Technicians should be able to plan ahead, clearly understand required tasks for each asset, and quickly prioritize urgent issues. The end result is a cleaner, more intuitive platform that improves efficiency and reduces downtime.

Redesign the task management module of a critical operations application
Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high‑fidelity mockups for web and mobile
Design UI components aligned with established design standards
Conduct user interviews to understand technician workflows and pain points
Partner closely with a Product Manager to ensure feasibility and accuracy
Iterate on designs based on stakeholder feedback and evolving requirements
Required Skills & Experience UI/UX Design Experience
3+ years of UI/UX design experience designing responsive web applications
Experience with enterprise web and mobile platforms (not marketing websites)
Strong background designing workflow‑heavy products such as dashboards, task tools, or internal systems
Experience in SaaS, logistics, field services, asset management, or B2B environments preferred
Design Tools
Advanced Figma experience, including wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high‑fidelity mockups
Ability to collaborate in real time and iterate quickly with stakeholders
Enterprise & Workflow Design
Experience designing for enterprise or ERP‑driven platforms preferred
Strong user research skills, including conducting interviews and documenting workflows
Ability to translate real‑world user behavior into clear, intuitive UX flows
