Position Overview We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mid-Level Architectural Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong design sensibilities, solid technical skills, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to projects from concept through construction. This role requires a self-motivated designer who can work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative on independent tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in conceptual design, schematic design, and design development phases.
Produce compelling drawings, diagrams, renderings, and presentations.
Assist in developing creative design solutions aligned with project goals and client expectations.
Technical Documentation
Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.
Support the creation and coordination of BIM models.
Ensure documentation meets applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Project Coordination
Coordinate work with consultants (structural, MEP, civil, specialty consultants).
Assist with product research, specification development, and materials selection.
Participate in internal design reviews and quality control processes.
Construction Administration
Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals under the supervision of a project architect/manager.
Participate in site visits to verify construction progress and assist with field reports.
Qualifications Education / Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
3–6 years of professional architectural experience.
Progress toward architectural licensure preferred (not required).
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Revit is required.
Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, Enscape, or similar tools.
Strong graphic presentation skills (Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
Understanding of building codes, materials, and construction methods.
Soft Skills
Strong design intuition and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
