We’re seeking a talented and experienced Senior Product Designer to join the QuickBooks Workforce Solutions team, focused primarily on Human Capital Management for mid‑market businesses.

Responsibilities

Lead, deliver, and contribute user experience design for Human Capital Management experiences for an industry‑leading mid‑market platform

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including other designers, product managers, engineers, researchers, and stakeholders to deliver end‑to‑end user experiences that go beyond MVP to delight customers

Conceptualize a broad spectrum of ideas and then narrow based on experimentation and user research

Plan and conduct user research with clear goals, including surveys, usability testing, and user interviews

Deliver user flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and pixel‑perfect specs for development

Advance a strong point of view, backed up by personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends

Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews

Work closely with developers to ensure implementation is to spec

Work on multiple projects at one time, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in interaction design, product design, or related field

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, Human‑Computer Interaction Design, or other relevant field. Equivalent work experience will be considered

Deep knowledge of design principles, methods, layout and composition, interpreting and applying a standardized design system

Deep empathy for customer problems and understanding of business needs and goals

Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results

Expert at conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing and prototyping

Strong attention to detail, organizational and documentation skills; proficient in development hand‑off, including QA‑ing designs and articulating implementation details/specs in user stories

Mastery of Figma, auto‑layout

Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator

Content design experience a plus

Experience with designing for financial software a plus

Strong portfolio demonstrating strong craft and collaborative process

Compensation Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:

Bay Area: $149,000–$201,500

New York: $149,500–$202,500
