Product Manager, Pro Audio

Product Management
Own and maintain prioritized product backlogs for AutoTune and related products
Write detailed user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria that engineers love
Participate in scrum events as a core team member and lead work prioritization during sprint planning and backlog refinement
Make sprint-level prioritization decisions within the strategic framework set by product leadership
Partner closely with engineering leads to evaluate technical feasibility, manage technical debt, and make informed trade-offs between new features and refactoring or stability work
Unblock developers continuously—clarify requirements, answer questions, make tactical trade-offs
Support QE team’s definition of test cases and acceptance testing approaches
Discovery & Research
Conduct user interviews to validate assumptions and uncover workflow pain points
Use product analytics and usage data to inform prioritization decisions
Analyze competitive landscape, including emerging AI vocal tools
Synthesize user feedback from support tickets, community forums, and surveys
Partner with Design to prototype and validate user-centric features before engineering handoff
Documentation & Communication
Write, maintain, and present PRDs and MRDs
Translate complex technical capabilities into user-facing benefits
Be the voice of the user and product in engineering discussions
Document decisions, trade-offs, and rationale for future reference
Communicate progress and blockers clearly to cross‑functional stakeholders
Qualifications Required
4-5+ years of product management or product owner experience in software development environments (though not necessarily music tech)
Exceptional Agile/scrum product ownership skills
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
Excellence at writing user stories and acceptance criteria
Strong collaboration skills with engineering teams
Design thinking and user‑centered design experience
Genuine passion for music software
Proficiency with a major DAW and understanding music production workflows
Preferred
Scrum Product Owner certification (CSPO or equivalent)
Background in consumer software, SaaS, or creative tools (Adobe, Figma, Notion, etc.)
Experience with user research methodologies beyond interviews (surveys, usability testing, analytics)
Competency & fluency with AI tools to improve product management workflows
Technical background or ability to understand DSP concepts at a high level
Personal creative experience producing music or using vocal processing tools
Active participation in music production communities (Reddit, Discord, forums)
Experience working with subscription business models
Empathy for those with the fear of singing (we test our own software!)
