MVAR Media is a leading Democratic consulting firm specializing in creating compelling TV and digital advertisements for Democratic candidates and progressive organizations across the country.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join our fast-paced team. This role is essential to our production operations, working closely with partners, editors, producers, and our finance and billing department to ensure seamless project execution from concept to delivery. The ideal candidate thrives in a deadline-driven environment and is passionate about supporting Democratic campaigns and progressive causes.
Key Responsibilities Production Coordination & Scheduling
Coordinate and schedule all aspects of production workflow using Monday.com software
Manage production timelines to meet critical campaign deadlines and air dates
Schedule and coordinate resources including editors, producers, and voice overs
Track project progress and proactively address potential scheduling conflicts
Vendor Management
Serve as primary liaison with outside vendors including production houses and talent agencies
Coordinate vendor scheduling, deliverables, and project requirements
Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate performance
Financial Coordination
Collect and process invoices from external vendors in a timely manner
Work closely with the finance and billing department to ensure accurate project billing
Assist with client billing processes and documentation
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
Work directly with firm partners, producers and editors to understand project priorities and requirements
Coordinate with editors and producers to optimize workflow and resource allocation
Required Qualifications Experience & Background
At least 2-4 years of project management, production coordination, or political campaign experience
Experience in advertising, media production, or campaign environments preferred
Understanding of TV and digital advertising production processes is a plus
Familiarity with political campaigns or advocacy work is a plus
Technical Skills
Proficiency with project management software
Experience with production scheduling and workflow management
Experience with Quickbooks or other accounting software is a plus
Core Competencies
Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple urgent projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills for vendor and internal coordination
Detail-oriented approach to financial tracking and billing processes
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
