This position plays a key creative role in supporting the mission of Forest Hill Church by shaping engaging, original visual experiences across print, digital, and environmental media. The Graphic Designer brings imagination, artistic talent, and strategic design thinking to support worship services, ministry programs, and church-wide communications. This includes the creation of sermon series graphics, promotional materials, and visuals for events. Photography, videography, and social media content creation may also be incorporated based on project needs. Position Specific Duties

To ensure the readiness of the Church to present programs, communications and events. This includes preparation of grounds and facilities, room set up, audio/visual and printed materials as well as computer resources. Work with various teams (Central, Discipleship, Worship, Production, NextGen, etc.) to create original graphic concepts for sermon series, church campaigns, and digital media. Take full ownership of assigned projects from concept to completion, including design direction, layout, and final delivery. Develop materials for weekend services and programs, ensuring high-quality visual presentation Provide creative input on visual storytelling and branding across multiple platforms (print, digital, social, stage design, etc.) Occasional photography, videography and social media content creation based on project needs Occasionally support in-house or outsourced production of materials as needed to execute design deliverables Participate in planning meetings and bring a creative lens to ministry goals Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of media studies AND 2+ years of professional experience OR 4+ years of experience in professional graphic design environment(s).

Experience:

Demonstrated skill in visual communication and graphic design

Ability to independently generate original concepts and solutions within brand and message guidelines. Comfortable balancing multiple creative projects and shifting priorities while maintaining artistic quality. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present and explain creative concepts. Confidence to provide artistic input and receive feedback in a collaborative team environment. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant creative tools.

Experience in motion graphics (Adobe After Effects) Physical Requirements

Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time Ability to perform light manual tasks such as setting up printed materials or visual displays Performance Measures

Employee performance will be formally evaluated on an annual basis by the Creative Director to review accomplishments, set goals and identify areas of improvement. In addition to the yearly review, performance evaluations may also be conducted as needed to address specific issues, provide feedback or recognize exceptional performance. Supervisory Responsibilities
