Solution Staffing, Inc
Due to tremendous growth, one of Chicagoland's growing fire protection companies has an immediate need for a Fire Alarm Systems Designer Manager to lead a small design team. Projects will be a combination of new construction and retrofits/upgrades.
Position will have the ability to work remotely on occasion if desired. Company offers a superior compensation package which includes 401k, life, dental, medical, disability insurance, cell phone, laptop, continuous training, and growth opportunity!
Ideally, we are looking for someone that has 5++ years of experience designing new and retrofitted fire alarm systems for large commercial/industrial facilities. BIM modeling is a big plus but not necessary. NICET IV certification is a big plus but we will consider all candidates with relevant experience. We really are looking for a true lead designer that can take projects from cradle to grave. Experience mentoring and managing less experienced designers is a plus but not necessary. Must be willing to work hands‑on when needed.
Responsibilities
Use AutoCAD to design systems from inception to completion
Work closely with the sales team, architects, and engineers to design systems
Perform occasional site visits to clients to better understand their design needs
Design systems according to NFPA code
Review all fire alarm designs before submitting for approval
Lead and mentor a small design team
This is an excellent opportunity with TONS of growth potential. Company is growing rapidly both locally and nationally. To apply, please send your resume as a PDF or Word attachment.
