Marketing Art Director
The Paramount Theatre/Aurora Civic Center Authority (ACCA) – an innovative organization located on Stolp Island in the Fox River and the heart of diverse historic Aurora, Illinois (one hour from downtown Chicago) – is seeking a Marketing Art Director.
ACCA operates four performance venues: RiverEdge Park (6,000 capacity), Paramount Theatre (1,843 seat landmark), Copley Theatre (165 seat, newly renovated), and Stolp Island Theatre (98 seat). Each year the organization presents over 500 performances, ranging from star‑studded touring productions to a self‑produced Broadway Series of Musicals – the largest theater subscription base in the country – and intimate experiences such as
Million Dollar Quartet
for an annual audience of 350,000 patrons from over 250 communities. ACCA also operates Paramount School of the Arts and hosts community events such as $1 Classic Movie Mondays.

Position Summary In coordination with the Senior Marketing Director and Chief Marketing Officer, the Marketing Art Director will serve as the creative lead of ACCA/Paramount’s in‑house graphic design team; collaborating closely with marketing staff, graphic designers, web developers, photographers, videographers, internal clients and outside contractors. The Marketing Art Director must communicate visually; possess outstanding design skills; guide, evaluate and elevate design execution; have strong management skills with demonstrated experience in creating and managing a team; and be a team player who shares ACCA’s artistic vision for a broad inclusive audience.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all creative work (in‑house and external) including design of graphics, website content, brochures, flyers, posters, advertisements, billboards, mailers, photo shoots and digital marketing assets from conception to completion, ensuring a high level of creativity and style consistency.
Grow, manage, mentor and motivate a team, pursuing excellence, creativity and collaboration.
Supplement the organization’s social media visual presence, alongside the marketing team.
Act as subject matter expert on all visual matters across the organization.
Serve as consistent brand guardian and mission champion.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously; display flexibility through revisions and changing priorities; bring projects on time and on budget.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience and Abilities
Minimum 6 years’ experience, including significant supervisory experience, preferably in a fast‑paced studio, agency or creative department; experience developing campaigns that work in both digital and print.
Strong portfolio showcasing print and digital design work.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) required.
Video editing and motion graphics/animation skills preferred.
Knowledge of WordPress and/or HTML a plus.
Ability to thrive in high‑speed atmosphere while delivering quality, impactful work on time.
Balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Proven mentoring, supervisory and team‑building skills in creative development.
Well organized and detail‑oriented.
Previous experience in the entertainment industry or event marketing a plus.
