Proven discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive matters. Demonstrated success in speech writing and narrative development for live and digital formats. Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with higher education, public affairs, or mission-driven organizations. Strong understanding of presentation design and digital communication tools. Job Description
Develop marketing and communications strategy that drives increased awareness and engagement with internal and external audiences. Job Duties
Strategic and Executive Communications – Research, write, and edit speeches, remarks, video scripts, op-eds, and correspondence for the President, Vice President, and senior leaders. Content Development and Editorial Support – Develop consistent messaging that reflects university priorities and mission; manage updates to executive web pages, bios, and statements; draft formal letters and digital communications. Issues and Reputation Management – Provide strategic counsel on tone, timing, and message discipline; support crisis communications planning and rapid response messaging. Collaboration and Institutional Engagement – Partner with departments to ensure message alignment; contribute to university-wide communication planning and strategic initiatives.
