Purpose of the Position The PR & Events Coordinator is responsible for executing event marketing and PR logistics for Triumph Motorcycles in the United States and Canada. This position supports all activities related to consumer events, dealership events, media relations, and public relations. The ultimate goal is to help gain affinity, awareness, and consideration from potential Triumph consumers by offering them unique in‑person experiences with the brand and product, including demos. The role also provides detailed tracking and movement coordination of the fleet of press and marketing bikes.

Major Responsibilities

Support all activities related to designated consumer events, including event‑specific budget management, venue and vendor negotiations, visual and experiential presence, staffing requirements, and event guide.

Assist the PR/Events Manager and Marketing Director in planning annual event marketing budgets and actively manage approved budgets.

Help the PR/Events Manager oversee the fleet of press and marketing motorcycles, adding new motorcycles, tracking usage, maintenance, repair, arranging transport, and preparing the sale of each bike at the end of its usage cycle.

Support activities related to network‑facing events, such as dealer conferences and dealership training events.

Support the Marketing Director, PR Manager, and Mar Comm Manager with projects as needed, with a specific emphasis on PR tracking and measurement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge:

General motorcycle industry knowledge.

General knowledge of the full spectrum of marketing communication avenues, from search marketing (SEO/SEM) to social channel marketing to traditional print/publication advertising.

Skills:

Superior language and writing proficiency, including strong grammar and proofreading skills.

Valid driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement (required).

Valid passport (required).

Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Advanced skills using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets (required).

Detail‑oriented with ability to multi‑task.

Careful, established, and fine‑tuned eye for visuals and art direction.

Prior event management experience preferred.

Abilities:

Resourcefulness and ability to solve problems independently.

Project management skills to coordinate a high volume of overlapping projects at any given moment.

Develop and nurture strong relationships.

Relationships

Internal:

Works closely with the full marketing department and occasionally the central marketing team in the UK.

Regular interaction with various departments, field staff, and dealers.

External:

Maintain relationships and regular communication with vendors, specifically partners that implement event display and dealership marketing strategies.

Authority

Authority to negotiate contracts related to event marketing (subject to final approval by PR Manager, Marketing Director, GM, and CFO).

Authority to spend on pre‑approved budget lines relevant to event marketing (subject to final approval by PR Manager, Marketing Director, GM, and CFO).

Works very independently, but must seek executive approval when required for any project.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, management, or a related field.

Training

Immediate on‑the‑job training includes a Brand Induction (UK created) to understand the company’s history and vision from a branding perspective.

Physical Requirements

75‑85% office work at a desk or conference table; other times filled with meetings.

15‑25% travel, including holidays and weekends, primarily to lead presence at planned Triumph consumer or dealer‑facing events.
