Graphic Designer
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Communications team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and solid project management skills to handle multiple print and digital projects from concept to completion. You will collaborate with "clients" across campus to deliver visually compelling and brand-consistent designs across various media to support both operational needs and strategic institutional goals in the areas of brand awareness, fundraising, and student recruitment and retention.
Essential Functions
Provide hands‑on production for routine projects, working with templates or revising designs; create, design, and produce printed materials and digital communications; develop artwork for materials such as admission materials, the annual Curry Report and online alumni magazine, brochures, invitations, postcards, fundraising collateral, sell sheets, business cards and letterhead.
Design and produce environmental graphics such as signage, flags, banners, and wall art.
Monitor projects to ensure timely completion, meeting tight deadlines; manage projects from concept to completion, including production management and client and vendor relations.
Consult with colleagues and clients about individual project needs and make recommendations for the most effective method for meeting client objectives.
Collaborate with other designers, photographers, videographers, web developers, print vendors, and the Copy Center staff to meet expectations and develop successful marketing and promotional materials.
Provide great customer service and work well with campus colleagues; manage the business card and stationary needs for the college.
Ensure all design materials strictly follow Curry College brand identity guidelines and maintain consistency across all projects and initiatives.
Additional Functions
Serve as lead contact for design projects when Director of Brand and Creative Services is out.
Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or their designee.
Salary Range $55,000 to $60,000 annually

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience is required.
Minimum of 2‑5 years of professional experience in a print design environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
Experience managing design projects from concept to delivery.
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Attention to detail and a passion for creativity.
Ability to work well under pressure, independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
Occasional ability for local travel to vendor facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with project management tools (we use Basecamp).
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
Experience in branding and identity design.
Digital design experience is a plus.
Experience in a higher education or nonprofit environment.
