We are now looking for a

Senior Product Designer

to join us as a foundational member of the team. You’ll play a key role in shaping how FeMMA looks, feels, and functions — from early product explorations through launch and beyond.

This is a deeply collaborative and hands‑on role where you’ll work closely with our CEO, engineering, and early community to bring FeMMA’s vision to life. You’ll be joining a small, focused team that believes in building intentionally — combining empathy, clarity, and craft to create experiences that truly resonate.

FeMMA is led by

Caitlin Hodge (CEO) , who has partnered closely with

Michael Horvath (co‑founder and former CEO of Strava)

— our lead investor. Together, they bring deep experience launching successful, mission‑driven companies that empower people through community and movement.

What You’ll Do

Design with empathy and intent

– Create experiences that feel inclusive, empowering, and intuitive for women in martial arts.

Shape the product from 0 → 1

– Contribute across the design process, from concepting and prototyping to polished UI and implementation.

Prototype to learn

– Use low‑ and high‑fidelity tools to explore ideas quickly, test assumptions, and validate solutions.

Design for systems and flow

– Help create intuitive, cohesive interactions that make sense across moments and contexts, and scale gracefully as the product evolves.

Collaborate closely with engineering

– Be a part of the build process, caring not just about how things look, but how they feel and function.

Stay grounded in user insight

– Participate in user testing and feedback loops to ensure design decisions align with real community needs.

Establish design practices

– As one of our first design hires, you’ll help define design principles, tools, and shared standards that support good work and healthy collaboration.

Requirements

4-5 years of experience

Experience designing mobile‑first

consumer‑facing

products from early concept through to implementation (preferably social, fitness, or community‑based)

A clear,

user‑centered design

process that includes iteration, feedback, and collaboration

Experience moving fluidly between

interaction design, prototyping, and visual UI

Strong visual sensibility and attention to craft not at the expense of iteration and learning

Ability to

collaborate deeply

with engineers and non‑design stakeholders

Comfort with ambiguity and enthusiasm for building from scratch

Interest in

movement, community, or elevating women

(bonus if you’ve trained in martial arts or have competed yourself)

Excitement about joining a small, mission‑driven team and a desire to help build a sustainable, values‑aligned business

Compensation:

Competitive salary and meaningful equity, in line with experience. FeMMA is early‑stage, and we tailor compensation to align with ownership, impact, and growth potential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
