Job Responsibilities
Conducting thorough assessments of music therapy needs for patients and their families
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to prioritize interventions and referrals
Meticulously documenting all care provided in adherence to hospice documentation standards
Educating hospice staff and the community on the impactful role of Music Therapy
Offering bereavement support to families when deemed appropriate
Facilitating support groups as needed and ensuring efficient resource utilization
Fulfilling additional duties as assigned with enthusiasm and dedication
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Music Therapy
State licensure as a Board‑Certified Music Therapist (MT‑BC)
A minimum of two years' experience in music therapy, with a preference for community/hospice experience
Deep understanding of hospice philosophy, focusing on comfort and maintaining care in the patient's residence for as long as possible
