The successful candidate should have prior news anchoring or reporting experience, excel at breaking news, and be a team player. They will anchor weekend morning newscasts and MMJ three days a week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Presents news stories and other content for all platforms.

Ensures all news content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.

Writes and delivers news stories in a clear and concise manner.

Works with management to enterprise and develop stories daily.

Demonstrates compelling storytelling using dynamic live shots, stand‑ups, creative graphics, and use of digital and social media platforms.

Organizes material, determines angle or emphasis, and writes story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.

Builds a network of sources who supply information.

Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Communication/Journalism or related degree required (equivalent years of experience may substitute for education).

Two years of television anchoring or reporting experience required.

Solid vocal delivery, camera presence, and clear enunciation.

Strong reporting skills.

Understands importance of social media.

Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and organizational skills.

Promotes teamwork and maintains an attitude of cooperation with all station personnel.
