The Technical Writer’s role is to assemble and disassemble cell phone devices, to create technical documents, manuals, and work instructions, explain complex information in a clear and concise manner and work with the client, OEMs, engineers, and various levels of management to ensure accuracy of product descriptions and testing procedures. They are also responsible for updating and maintaining existing technical documents. This individual will have experience with both hardware and software testing, integration and assembly/disassembly of cellular devices and methodologies. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the subject matter and excellent research skills, combined with clear and concise writing abilities. They must be meticulous, audience-aware, and proficient in using documentation tools and software. Effective collaboration, organizational skills, and an initiative-taking learning mindset are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. A relevant degree or certification can also be beneficial. Key Responsibilities

Disassemble and assemble cell phone devices in an efficient manner, with mindfulness regarding different OEMs & models, according to work instructions (WI) and standard operational procedure (SOP). Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit standard operational procedures (SOP), process maps, and work instructions, utilizing sample electronic devices with little supervision. Create or incorporate visual elements such as diagrams, screenshots, and charts to enhance understanding and provide visual support to the text. Conduct thorough research to gather information about products, services, or processes from various sources including subject matter experts (SMEs), product specifications, and existing documentation. Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts. Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation. Analyze documents provided by AT&T to maintain continuity of style of content. Continuously update and revise documentation to reflect new product releases, updates, or changes, ensuring all information is current and accurate. When needed, train production personnel using the work instructions and function as a subject matter expert to answer operational questions from the team or client. Education/Certifications: 2-years Associates of Applied Science degree with an emphasis in Technical Writing or 2+ years of technical writing experience in the telecommunications industry. Experience: Can demonstrate equivalent knowledge in this type of field from prolonged experience and/or study Skills and Qualifications: Strong technical writing skills (clear, concise, and complete manner). Strong grammar skills (grammar, punctuation, spelling, usage). Strong oral communication skills. Able to use a multitude of hand tools required for the steps requested in the above-mentioned documents. Proficiency in MS Office and picture processing software. Strong mindfulness Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Advanced skills in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint. Physical Requirements:
