We are looking for a UI Developer/Designer to translate high-level requirements into intuitive and functional user interfaces and ensure ADA compliance for outstanding web PDFs.
Translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into intuitive and functional user interfaces
Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience
Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders
Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
Apply proper headings to document structures for screen reader navigation
Add alternative text for all images, charts, and other non-text elements
Ensure tables are tagged correctly for screen readers and add proper descriptions and tab order to form fields
Use accessible fonts and colors to ensure high color contrast between text and background
Add metadata, set the document title, and author in document properties
What You'll Need Required:
Bachelor's/master’s degree in human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related field.
At least three years of software development experience
Proficiency in Adobe PDF Pro (3 years)
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (3 years)
Intermediate level of HTML coding (2 years)
Physical Demands:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
