Summary of Position As a

Structural

BIM Designer , supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will be responsible for designing, detailing and drafting construction documents under the guidance of Structural Engineer/Project Managers. Projects will be located throughout the U.S. and will include: steel, concrete, pre-stressed concrete, timber and masonry.

As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Site/Civil Engineers, MEP Engineers, Architects and Construction Project Managers. You will be responsible for the production of structural engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, building code requirements and site adapt adjustments.

Responsibilities

Use and develop skills in AutoCAD and Revit Structure to develop construction documents.

Report under the direction of Structural Project Engineer and Structural Project Manager.

Work in a collaborative environment and assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and construction document phases of a project.

Perform quality control of their own work prior to giving to Structural Project Engineer for final review.

Assist in maintaining task budgets.

Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Technical School, Assoc. in Civil/Architectural Engineering, BSCE/AE or equivalent experience

Revit Certification a plus (Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Structural Design)

Minimum 3+ years of Revit drafting experience related to structural detailing

Revit (must have)

AutoCAD (helpful but not mandatory)

Building and managing 3D structural models including beams, columns, walls, foundations, floors and slabs.

Capable of creating custom families and modifying types of structural elements.

Proficient in BIM collaboration tools, including work sharing workflows and shared models.

Creation of accurate Construction Documentation, skilled in sheet layout, exporting models and data and conduct QA/QC

Familiarity with BIM protocols

MS Office, Bluebeam and other software related to discipline

Team You will work with a team of Design Engineers, Professional Engineers and Project Managers.

Work Location This is a hybrid role based out of our Farmers Branch, TX office.
