Responsibilities

  • Film, edit, and create interactive and engaging social media content for the major industry conference SPIE Photonics West January 2026 based in San Francisco.
  • Create pre‑conference LinkedIn and other social media posts to promote the event and drive traffic.
  • Attend the conference for 5 days (Saturday Jan 17 – Sunday Jan 18, Tuesday‑Thursday Jan 20‑22) to capture live footage, producing 1–2 short videos each day for posting.
  • Conduct interviews with upper‑management and product‑focused engineers in the booth about the products they want to promote.
  • Repurpose captured content for client use after the event.
  • Attend a customer appreciation event at a Golden State Warriors game on Tuesday night January 20.
  • Access client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data as required for the role.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable being in front of the camera with hands‑on skills to film, edit, and create content.
  • Experience creating social media content, preferably for industry conferences or technical audiences.
  • Strong storytelling, editing, and video production skills.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with marketing leads and other team members in a client‑centric environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage pre‑event, event, and post‑event content creation timelines.
  • Willingness to work onsite and travel to San Francisco for the conference dates.
