Responsibilities
Lead user-centered design initiatives, ensuring all design choices address user needs, behaviors, and insights from research.
Map and analyze end-to-end user journeys across customers, operations, servicing teams, and systems to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
Design complex web interfaces and workflows, creating products that are highly functional and visually engaging; use animation and micro-interactions to guide users.
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design efforts with business goals.
Mentor junior designers, providing constructive feedback and elevating team standards.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise demonstrated through portfolio and leadership impact.
Advanced proficiency in Figma, Miro, and high-fidelity prototyping.
Systems thinking and strong design system knowledge, with experience contributing to a global design system.
Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to articulate design concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Portfolio required; demonstrate expertise in user-centered design, journey mapping, interaction and UI design, and complex system design.
Portfolio A portfolio is required to be considered. Portfolio may be provided as a Figma link, PDF, or personal site. It should demonstrate some or most of the expertise described above.
Location New York, NY (Remote options may be discussed).
Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $102,000 – $246,000 per year, commensurate with experience. BNY offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence.
