Role Overview We are seeking a

Textile Design & Development Associate

to partner closely with Apparel Design, Merchandising, and Product Development teams on textile and print development, artwork selection, fabric execution, and color management across seasonal collections.

This role is suited for candidates with hands-on textile or print development experience who are ready to take increased ownership over development, execution, and cross-functional coordination in a fast‑paced fashion environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and recolor textiles and prints across seasonal collections

Prepare print artwork files, colorways, and layouts for internal review and vendor submission

Create and update print colorways, repeats, and layouts based on design direction

Partner with Apparel Designers and Merchandisers on artwork buying and fabric selection appointments

Manage and own fabric PO creation, tracking, and follow‑through after approvals, providing clear and timely status updates to cross‑functional teams

Support Merchandising and Product Development teams with textile sample coordination, development tracking, and follow‑ups

Track and support fabric color lab dips, print strike‑offs, sample receipts, approvals, and revisions

Organize and maintain digital and physical textile, print, artwork, and color libraries

Create color, print, and textile trend and inspiration reports and presentation packets for internal and external meetings

Independently coordinate with vendors and internal teams on textile execution

Assist with additional textile‑related design tasks, sample coordination, and follow‑ups as needed

Must‑Have Qualifications

Background in Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Textile Design, or a related field

2–4 years of experience in textile design, print development, fabric development, or related roles

Proven experience working with textile prints, fabric development, and color execution

Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Strong understanding of color, composition, and visual storytelling

High attention to detail with strong organizational and time‑management skills

Experience coordinating across Design, Merchandising, and Product Development teams

Ability to manage fabric POs, sample tracking, and development timelines with minimal supervision

Ability to work full‑time, on‑site in the Los Angeles office

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working directly with fabric vendors or mills

Familiarity with import textile development

Experience supporting multiple seasons or categories simultaneously

Interest in growing into Textile Designer or Fabric Developer roles

Education Bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design, Textile Design, or a related field preferred.
