In our Water Business Group, you’ll help shape how communities manage water for generations to come, contributing to safe drinking water, wastewater treatment, sustainable supply, and flood control. Your work will directly support public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience.
Responsibilities
Develop content marketing strategies and communications plans for specific initiatives and projects to elevate thought leadership, people and project work
Lead global and local communications strategies by collaborating with internal business partners, creative, marketing and communications teams
Assist in the development and management of an editorial calendar
Work with subject matter experts to develop and write white papers, feature articles, thought‑leadership pieces, and social media posts
Ghost‑write and edit blogs, social media posts, papers and/or presentations by subject matter experts
Help develop collateral pieces and other marketing campaign materials
Research, write and edit project narratives and case studies
Monitor industry best practices and maintain a repository of trends and examples
Support event management where required
Bring genuine, creative ideas to the table
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field
Previous consulting and/or creative agency experience
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experience in a communications field of expertise: social media, event planning, community engagement, target marketing, descriptive writing, public involvement, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self‑motivated and able to work independently with multiple teams as well as be team oriented
Great interpersonal and communication skills – positive outlook and attitude
High aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues
Commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture
Comfortable and competent while working with senior leaders and managing cross‑functional efforts
Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment
Committed to quality, continuous improvement, and HDR values
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation Range: $48,699 – $92,760 (depending on skills, experience, education and geographic location).
Primary Location United States – Nebraska – Omaha
