About the Role The Associate Producer will produce and edit revenue‑generating, feature content for CNN’s TV, Digital and Social platforms – from pitch to publish. The role requires a strong foundation in production and editorial skills, a creative mindset, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Your Role Accountabilities
Pitch ideas for short‑form video content across TV vignettes/segments, digital videos (vertical and horizontal), social videos (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram) and Fast Channels.
Plan and facilitate shoots; occasionally field‑produce content.
Write scripts and collaborate with CNN colleagues to meet editorial standards.
Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Publish content through CNN’s CMS.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience creating engaging content (written, video, social) that drives traffic.
Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent) editing software.
Knowledge of video formats and settings.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
Works diligently and effectively to tight deadlines.
Understands business needs and can switch rapidly between projects.
Collaborates within and across teams.
Expresses ideas effectively, organizes and delivers information appropriately.
Proactive creative thinker who generates ideas for improvement and innovation.
Solid foundation of editorial experience – preferably from a newsroom.
College degree – preferred.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $51,520.00 – $95,680.00 per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards.
