Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Lead Designer - Telecom to plan, develop, and review telecommunications and control systems design work for complex infrastructure and industrial projects. The role involves producing design deliverables, preparing estimates, coordinating with clients, and ensuring all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Major Responsibilities

Plan and conduct independent telecommunications design work requiring sound engineering judgment.

Lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of telecommunications components and systems.

Apply Engineering Department Procedures, design standards, and standard application programs.

Develop conceptual and detailed designs for projects with specialized or unique requirements.

Communicate complex technical issues and recommend practical engineering solutions to leadership.

Coordinate with client representatives to obtain approval of telecommunications design aspects.

Interpret and apply new or specialized codes, regulations, and performance criteria.

Support preparation of project estimates, staffing plans, and schedules.

Conduct or lead studies on new telecommunications methods, materials, and technologies.

Review and approve drawings, calculations, bid summaries, and technical documentation.

Mentor and train telecommunications personnel through on-the-job coaching.

Participate in and support technical training and professional development initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent).

10-13 years of relevant experience (or 14-17 years of equivalent work experience).

Strong knowledge of ICT / Telecommunications systems, design methods, and materials.

Experience developing network topology, DAS, data centers, rack layouts, and horizontal distribution.

Solid understanding of technical and cost considerations in design feature selection.

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Skills

RCDD certification.

Experience with ERRCS/DAS and Security Systems integration.

Proficiency with CAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience supporting large‑scale or global engineering projects.
