The Institutional Marketing Department is looking for an Institutional Marketing Analyst who will be responsible primarily for preparing and maintaining client reporting, Requests for Proposals/Information (RFPs/RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and for tracking, routing and responding to other data and information requests from clients, prospects and internal VanEck partners. The position requires meeting aggressive deadlines, performing at high levels of accuracy and working closely with Sales, Product and Portfolio Management, Legal, Portfolio Administration, Compliance, Legal and other departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing, writing and responding to RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and various data requests for existing and prospective clients (retail and institutional channels globally)
Developing substantive and accurate responses to unique or challenging proposal questions
Continually maintaining and updating responses in the RFP database (RocketDocs)
Working with the Institutional Marketing Team to manage the RFP process across multiple subject‑matter experts in developing and delivering strategic proposal content
Creating and editing detailed investment process language in conjunction with product and portfolio managers
Reviewing and editing peer RFPs and DDQs
Maintaining and updating consultants and third‑party databases (such as eVestment, Morningstar Direct, Callan, Camradata, Wilshire) with accurate, timely product and firm‑level data
Liaising with Sales, Product and Portfolio Management, Portfolio Administration, Legal, Compliance and other departments
Assisting in preparing and maintaining other marketing and client‑service collateral materials as requested
Qualifications
Strong work ethic, commitment to meeting client needs and requests, and proven capacity to work effectively with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, unstructured environment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and analytical information into clear, client‑ready messaging
Proficiency with RFP and content management platforms (such as RocketDocs, Qvidian) and advanced Excel skills
Strong understanding of investment concepts and fund structures
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Proven ability to work with external resources and other internal departments
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and clients
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Marketing is preferred, but other related degrees will be considered
3–7 years of marketing, product marketing, or RFP experience in the asset‑management industry
Compensation If this position will be performed in whole or in part in New York City, the base salary range is $75,000 to $105,000. Individual salaries may vary based on different factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, job‑related knowledge, and location. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with this position.
