InGenesis is currently seeking a
Echocardiographic Technologist
to work with our client located at Travis AFB in Fairfield, CA. In this role, you will perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

Job Duties
Retrieves cardiology results from electronic based computer systems. Will operate, enter and retrieve data in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Will complete end of day functions and prepare schedules/studies for next day workload. Must be able to assist with the following procedures: Stress echocardiography (exercise & pharmacological), Transesophageal echocardiography, Exercise stress testing. Provides echocardiography instruction to others in training and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Participates in education programs and in clinical staff quality assurance functions and Process Action Teams as required. Travel: Echocardiography/Cardiac Ultrasound Sonography conferences and educational enhancement seminars. Performs cardiopulmonary laboratory administrative, maintenance, and support functions. Ensures equipment is calibrated to manufacturer's specifications. Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes (or prepares for sterilization) cardiopulmonary equipment. Operationally checks and inspects equipment. Adheres to infection control & universal precaution procedures, including disposition of contaminated materials. Practices safety & security measures. Capable of assisting with the following procedures: Exercise stress testing. Radionuclide/Thallium Stress Testing Assist in Echocardiography in the Cardiac Catherization Lab for various procedures. Capable of performing the following: Transthoracic echocardiography and Electrocardiogram. Capable of performing the following procedure: Ambulatory Electrocardiographic Monitoring (Holter & Event monitoring). Must be knowledgeable of general anatomy and physiology; cardiopulmonary system structures and functions; basic pharmacology; patient care theory, procedures, and techniques; medical terminology; aseptic techniques; medical ethics; resuscitation techniques; maintaining and operating cardiopulmonary laboratory diagnostic and therapeutic equipment; medications, and medical computer systems. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Degree/Education: Possess a two-year Associate Degree in Applied Sciences recognized by the National Society for Cardiovascular Technology, or graduated from an accredited ultrasound program. Experience: Must have 12 months experience within the past 36 months working as a cardiac sonographer. Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Must be a certified as a cardiac sonographer through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
