We’re looking for our first Product Designer to work with our engineersto craft new, beautiful interfaces for our users and lead the directionof our product design efforts.
You might be a good fit if:
- You have strong graphic design (layout, typography, color,illustration), as well as experience (polish, readability,accessibility, performance) skills.
- You like designing powerful user interfaces without compromising onusability or aesthetics.
- Want to invent new interfaces to harness large language models.
- You’ve been building great products with engineers for over two years.
- Bonus: You can write any of HTML, CSS, React.
Culture
- Lighthouse is an engineering-led company. We get to pick/veto what webuild.
- We’re a flat org with no managers (engineering or product).
- We work in bi-weekly sprints, with one meeting on Monday to check in anddemos on Friday with everyone at the company. You can plan the rest ofthe week however you like.
- We spend a considerable chunk of time with users (the legal operationsteam, or customers) to find and pick what to build. Some projects ourteam has worked on include:
- A real-time, collaborative text editor using CRDTs
- A custom PDF templating and rendering engine
- A legal "IDE" in React, Typescript
- Finetuning LLMs
- We ship multiple times a day, with a preference for testing ideas outquickly and polishing over time.
