Vice President | Talent Advisor | Recruiting Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality & Finance Leaders in Life & Health Sciences at Engage Scientific
As a senior leader within the Strategic Sourcing organization, this role is responsible for leading and shaping sourcing strategies for Marketing categories to support and accelerate commercialization across multiple disease areas and global regions. The position oversees the full category lifecycle, including the design and execution of multi-year sourcing strategies, as well as the ongoing management, performance evaluation, and optimization of strategic supplier partnerships.
Working closely with Business Units and Finance, this leader will establish category objectives and maintain end-to-end accountability for their successful execution. The role will also support the active management of critical strategic suppliers to drive continuous improvement, resolve complex issues, and identify new opportunities that deliver meaningful value to the organization and, ultimately, to patients.

This role is based in Boston, MA and follows a hybrid work model (three days in office and two days remote per week). The position has a global remit and will require periodic travel to domestic and international locations, including London, to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, trust-based partnerships with business stakeholders by understanding objectives and challenges, applying supplier and market expertise, collaborating on multi-year strategic and operational plans, and driving measurable business outcomes.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and continuously refine category strategies across all related sub-categories in alignment with evolving business needs.
- Own the Supplier Performance and Relationship Management process, including performance tracking, meeting preparation, pre-reads, dashboards, action tracking, and execution of Executive Business Reviews.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics, ensure their incorporation into contracts, and track results through performance dashboards to drive continuous improvement.
- Support Business Owners in identifying sourcing-related risks, coordinating with risk subject-matter experts to assess exposure and develop mitigation plans as needed.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations involving pricing and contractual terms, often in collaboration with Business Partners and Legal, and independently develop comprehensive negotiation strategies aligned across stakeholders.
- Serve as a mentor and coach to sourcing team members, temporary staff, and/or college co-ops, as directed by management.
Required Education, Experience, and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of strategic sourcing experience, including Marketing Procurement
- Solid understanding of sourcing within a regulated environment
