Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bangor, ME, for a News Anchor at WVII/WFVX. The News Anchor will present and deliver accurate, engaging, and timely news reports to the audience. Day-to-day tasks include researching and writing news stories, reporting on events, and collaborating with the newsroom team to produce compelling content. The News Anchor will engage with the local community and represent the stations professionally on-air and at public events.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reporting and news writing to create accurate and engaging news content
• Strong skills in broadcasting and broadcast journalism to deliver high-quality on-air presentations
• Experience as a presenter with exceptional verbal communication and public-speaking abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced newsroom environment
• Familiarity with the local community and issues in Bangor, ME, is an advantage
• Experience in a similar role or equivalent
• Professional broadcasting experience
• A professional demeanor, time-management skills, and a commitment to journalistic integrity
