Our News Anchor is the trusted voice and face of our newsroom—delivering compelling, accurate, and engaging content across all platforms. This role combines strong on-air presence with editorial leadership to connect with audiences in a meaningful way.

Responsibilities

• Presents news stories and other content for all platforms, including CTV Digital
• Hosts a Digital CTV Show
• Upholds the highest standards of journalistic integrity and production quality
• Writes and delivers clear, concise, and engaging news stories
• Produces newscasts and provides clear direction to team members
• Collaborates on writing, copy editing, research, and coordination of news programming
• Reports from the field as assigned and conducts interviews
• Responds quickly to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations
• Participates in promotional activities and community events
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
• Edits video clips as assigned
• Writes content for the website and other digital platforms
• Engages with viewers and users on social media

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or equivalent experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to ad‑lib when necessary
• Minimum of four years’ experience in news reporting or anchoring (varies by market size)
• Strong on‑air presence and excellent news judgment
• Broad knowledge of local and national current events, history, and key issues
• Leadership experience with the ability to guide, motivate, and mentor others
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong listening and problem‑solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Flexibility to work any shift
