Public Address Announcer ( Independent Professional Baseball ) Schaumburg Boomer

The Schaumburg Boomers are seeking an upbeat, professional, and articulate substitute public address announcer for the 2026 season.

The position will add to the overall fan experience by serving as the in-stadium voice for Schaumburg Boomers games.

THIS IS A PART-TIME SEASONAL POSITION

Responsibilities

• Act as public address announcer with the ability to project and enunciate clearly over the microphone in front of a large crowd
• Announce most in-game action including but not limited to: lineups, pre-game activities, and in-game promotions
• Hit all sponsorship reads in script
• Display a positive attitude and professional demeanor while representing the Schaumburg Boomers
• Work closely with the Boomers in-game emcee
• Be available for all Boomers home games with the potential for post-season games

Qualifications

• Previous public address or vocal broadcasting experience
• General knowledge and understanding of baseball including rules, positions, and terminology
• Must be able to take direction and adjust quickly in fast-paced situations
• Ability to work well with others
